Many thanks Maurice for the tips.

The idler wheel has edges with many flaws and the transmission does not work well.
Is there any supplier that sells this new idler wheel?

With a cotton cloth and break cleaner you can clean of the edge to a nice dull surface.

If completely harden you can try put it for couple of minutes in boiling water.

Picture of that idler, maybe some one has a good spare.

For a Philips turntable i need the idler whell.
The part nº is : 482252870177 the diameter is approximately 35mm.
