Philips GF446 (Gezocht)
Looking for a transformer PL059 for Philips record player GF446 (1968),i am located in Strathroy, Ontario,Canada. Anybody out there happen to have one or knows someone how does, thanks in advance Steve Vandermeer.
PL059 means the transformer is made in Leuven, Belgium, 1969 week 05 so your record player is somewhat newer then you thought.
On the label should be another number as well, probably starting with 3122 or 3104. This is the part number.
In the service manual is probably another part number starting with 4822. Either part number will fit but you will need some luck finding one.
By the way, what is the full model number? ??GF446/?? probably. This could help in obtaining the right service manual.
P.S. If there's a thermal fuse in the primary, the transformer itself might still be okay. Just replace the fuse and see if there's a cause for the fuse blowing (not always the case).
