Hello !

Philips Fan here, writing from Portugal.

I believe that, back in those days, when there weren’t that much considerations about energy savings, this was quite common.

I have a 192, it was rescued from the skip ... it just needed some contact cleaner in the volume potentiometer and the am-fm switch, and had the burn out lights.

I love to rescue old devices, and I love Philips, so .... I had to bring this one back to life !

I’ve replaced the old light bulbs with some nice warm white LED, less heat less power being used, and I’m using the 14v output so that the panel is lit up all the time now. Now I have a nice warm light in the kitchen, were I’ve placed it now.

Fun fact (for me!) is the 104 MHz end limit ! We have lots of stations here, between 104 and 108 and I simply cannot pick those in this radio ! :-)

Greetings from Porto, Portugal
